Hey! Who Moved the Liberty Bell?

Did you know that for nearly a year between 1777 and 1778 the Liberty Bell was hidden in Allentown, Pennsylvania in order to protect it from the advancing British Army? If you are near Philadelphia, you might want to visit the Liberty Bell Shrine in Allentown to find out more information about this historic event!

The National Constitution Center

The Liberty Bell Memorial Museum

Located in Melbourne, Florida, the Liberty Bell Memorial Museum possesses a full-sized replica of the original Liberty Bell cast by London's Whitechapel Bell Foundry. Their website contains facts and a timeline on the Liberty Bell as well as information about bell making.

Whitechapel Bell Foundry

The very first bell was ordered and produced by the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London. They provide excellent information and an historical perspective of the Liberty Bell's early history as well as their continued connection to the Bell into the 20th century.
