The largest single event in the 19th century to encourage a burgeoning Liberty Bell souvenir industry was the Centennial Exhibition in 1876. At the time of this fair, the Liberty Bell had already gained a reputation as one our nation's symbols of freedom. To celebrate the U.S. 100th anniversary, a wide assortment of souvenirs were produced which made use of the Liberty Bell in some fashion.
