In 1775, the snake symbol appeared in the Colonies on uniform buttons, paper money, banners and flags shown as an American timber rattlesnake. The snake found its way into early American culture as a symbol of a shared national identity.
Iron-on patch comes in a poly bag with a card of the history and information about the Gadsen Flag. Bright yellow cloth patch with black stitching. Patch measures 3 x 2 inches.
