Harpers Ferry

Harpers Ferry/Springfield Rifle Musket Model 1855
Product ID: 652
Our Price $16.95

THIS PRODUCT SHIPS BY UPS ONLY. Shipping the dummy guns through Priority Mail incurs a $15.00 surcharge for an over-sized box by the post office.

One of the standard U.S. regulation arms of the Civil War period, this gun was formally known as the U.S. Rifle Musket 1855 Model. About 60,000 of these guns were issued by government arsenals in Harpers Ferry VA (1859-1861) and Springfield MA (1857-1861). Our full-sized wood dummy gun is faithful to the silhouette and proportions of the historic firearm it represents. Wood replica is 56 inches long. Can be painted or stained to your liking!

WOOD DUMMY GUNS
The term “Dummy gun” comes from the 18th century, when militia recruits were given sticks or simply shaped, non-functioning wooden guns for practice in drilling and marching. Dummy guns have no bore and no clicking mechanisms whatsoever and are intended for educational use only. Each is provided with a hang tag with history.

Dummy Guns ship separately.
