President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation on January 1, 1863, as the nation continued the civil war. The proclamation declared that all persons held as slaves in the states having seceded from the Union are, and henceforward shall be free.

Authentic replica of the original document with all the signatures. Proclamation is reproduced on 2 sheets of antiqued parchment paper that looks and feels old. Size of each page of document is 14" x 16". Shipped rolled or flat for easy framing.
