Ezra Ripley was a minister in Concord during the American Revolution and possessed a strong interest in documenting the history of the battle at Concord and the stories and experiences of those present on the Old North Bridge on April 19, 1775. It is not the only personal history of the battles of Lexington and Concord, but makes claim to the first blood being drawn at the Battle of Concord..
