These coins were never issued. This is replica is of a re-strike produced by Captain John Haseltine who purchased the original dies. Includes a brief history of the coin. Struck on both sides, the coin is cast in a pewter alloy which resembles the weight and feel of the original. The coin is electroplated in copper, antiqued and hand-burnished to faithfully duplicate the rich appearance of the old coin. The replica makes a distinctive gift for the history buff as well as serves as valuable a teaching aid. Packaged in a hard plastic sleeve to protect the coin (it can be easily removed from the sleeve.) Small parts warning: Not recommended for children under 5 years of age. Keep small parts out of the reach of children who still put objects in their mouths.
